Our recollection of Indian mythology probably ends at the reruns of Ramayan and Mahabharat on TV or the stories told and retold by our grandmothers. Over the years, our myths have been told to us as timeless stories, only repackaged for different media. Yet, the essence remains timeless. With that belief, E-Factor Experiences Ltd has brought to us India’s very own culture-tech production, Shiva Immersive, to DLF Mall in Saket. Running for a limited time of three months, all through January, Shiva Immersive invites the audience to not just watch or hear the story, but be an integral part of it.
Shiva Immersive Experience, Delhi

Shiva Immersive is supposedly India’s first large-format, multisensory experience that combines cultural heritage with evolving technology. The show meticulously blends 360° projection, cinematic world building, laser show, light sculptures, controlled temperature effects, spatial sounds, and life-size installations with kinetic movement. Narrated in the commanding voice of the actor, Sharad Kelkar, the experience has its very own orchestra sound composition as well.
In addition, the Shiva Experience is divided into three zones to tell the story in parts, from the creation to destruction. The transformation to the world of unreal begins at Zone 1, or the Induction Zone. Here, accompanied by sensory cues and subtle symbols, fragments of Shiva reveal themselves gently. As the audience enters Zone 2 or the Immersive Hall, an uninterrupted narrative begins for twenty-five minutes. The tale follows that of the God Shiva, the myth and the history, giving you a lived-in fantasical world with spatial sounds, lasers, and haze. Finally, the audience enters Zone 3, a VR exploration of Kailash. This intriguing combination mixes the real-life location of Kailash with that read in the scriptures. Through Virtual Reality, you are invited to intimately experience the towering Kailash mountain up close yet so far.

This 45-minute show takes you inside the cosmic principles of consciousness, creation, and destruction. For those who have grown up with these stories, this experience certainly becomes an emotional ascent, more than just a visual journey.
Pro-tip
We recommend watching both shows, the immersive show and the VR show, together for a comprehensive experience.
