Candlelight pays tribute to some of the most esteemed classical composers in history, from Vivaldi and Mozart to Chopin and Debussy. These concerts are a fabulous introduction to classical music for those less familiar with the works by these kind of composers. That said, it’s also a great way for classical music aficionados to experience their favourite compositions in a new light.
Not just classical music
Modern-day icons including Coldplay and Ed Sheeran see their famous discographies get a classical twist, while film soundtracks from your favourite Hollywood and Bollywood movies are also reimagined by candlelight. Iconic songs by Indian legends like Lata Mangeshkar, A.R. Rahman and R.D. Burman shine under the Candlelight spotlight too, so there’s truly something for every music lover at a Candlelight concert.

Each concert takes place over the course of 60-65 minutes, and there’re usually two each night, giving you time to plan a pre or post-show dinner or drinks.
Candlelight musicians
Musicians that perform at these concerts are super talented. They’ve trained for years and are usually local to New Delhi or the surrounding areas. And the great thing is, there’s a variety of musicians that take to the candlelit stage. We’re talking string quartets, pianists, orchestras and bands that play the flute, tabla and keyboard.
More than just music
Stunning live music performances by candlelight are the main event, but this concert series adds a little something extra to each show too. That is, the musicians are experts about the music they’re playing, and so they share little gems of info throughout the performances. They could share fun facts about the song or musician they’re paying tribute to, or maybe a little about the venue itself.
