If you thought artificial intelligence was a buzzword being thrown around, then think again. Albeit AI as it is now is not perfect, the same cannot be said for the future. As humankind continues to leap to new feet so does the potential of AI and how creatively it touches different aspects of our lives. It has quietly become an integral part of how we work, create and consume, beyond the scientific world of tech. Beyond automation, AI has stepped into the world of cinema. Once restricted by budget and resources, AI tools have evolved to lend a hand to storytellers to experiment and bring ideas to life. As AI shifts into the world of stories and films, Delhi is hosting its first-ever AI Film Festival on February 17, 2026, bringing together world-renowned filmmakers, technologists, and curious audiences.
Indian AI Film Festival (IAFF) Delhi

Marking a milestone for India’s creative and technological landscape, Delhi is all set to host the Indian AI Film Festival (IAFF) at the iconic Qutub Minar. After the successful Mumbai trial edition in November 2025, the Delhi event is expected to be an intimate affair. Furthermore, it coincides with the ongoing India AI Impact Summit that invites over 500 tech leaders, investors, and policymakers from the likes of Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI, Google and Anthropic. While the summit focuses on policies in AI development, the festival reconnects with AI through a cultural lens. Organised by InVideo and sponsored by Nvidia, this unique, futuristic showcase of AI films ventures into understanding how artificial intelligence is rewriting the rules of cinematography.
From hundreds of submissions, the festival will screen five to six selected indie AI short films. Moreover, it will also feature two special screenings of films produced by the world’s top AI studios. Carrying the night forward are opening remarks and panel discussions on the future of AI in storytelling. Among the notable speakers is Vishal Dhupar, the Managing Director of Nvidia, Asia South and Sanket Shah, the co-founder and CEO of InVideo. As the night opens with a red-carpet reception and an opening speech, the schedule follows a chat on “The Future of Storytelling” featuring Vikran Malhotra, CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, and Mike J Mitch, co-founder and filmmaker at Phantom X. Finally, the night wraps up with an award ceremony honouring standout AI films with $12,000 as prizes.
Dress to Impress and How to score tickets
The event is proposed to blend Indian culture with the new-age technology, hence the choice of venue at Qutub Minar. Thus, this sets the sensory tonality of the evening, with themed decor, Indian music and lighting. While it is not a black-tie event, the attendees are required to dress in traditional Indian wear. As for the tickets, the event is capping its registration at 150-300 attendees. Hence, registration is necessary if you want to attend. The prices start at ₹2,500/- while the IAFF website is hosting a limited number of free passes.
