Magic is quite literally in the air! This weekend, take your wands out of their dusty shelves and make your way to Delhi’s very own Leaky Cauldron. Wizarding Worlds, an immersive Hogwarts-themed fan party, is coming to town with bouts of activities, experiences and exclusive merchandise. If only a tad bit late, consider this your official letter to Hogwarts.
When and where is this Harry Potter theme party?
This one-of-a-kind event is happening this weekend on August 24 at Social Saket. From the hours between 2 pm to 5 pm, we recommend you slumber out of your Muggle clothes, put on the lengthy cloaks and brush up on your charm spells for the party of the season.
What can you expect?
Decked in Harry Potter themed decor– think candles, suspended Hogwarts letters, Daily Prophet posters and more- this party appartes you to the quite exhilarating wizarding world. Upon arrival, expect to be greeted by the sorting hat, creamy pints of butter beers and servings of pumpkin pasties, and chocolate frogs, among more.
Once sorted into your houses, you can participate in activities and challenges to defend your house names. From trivia sessions, a Marauder’s treasure hunt, and wand combat battles to themed board games and PS5 legacy stations, they have it all. Further, for all creatives, the event also brings you workshop stations where you can make your own wands, craft bracelets in your house colours and fashion magical decals to bring home.
Take pictures behind Azkaban’s wanted photo booths or get yourself some themed Polaroids to remember the magical August evening. However, one rule to follow: discard your Muggle clothing, as the venue also holds a cosplay runway above all! Among the crowds of witches and wizards and the occasional house elf, make sure your costume helps you blend right into your new world. There also lie exciting prizes and merch for the many activities throughout the evening.
